Dulux Red Oxide Primer Water-based

Product Description

A red, water-based primer with rust inhibiting properties to prevent the spread of corrosion in interior and exterior bare ferrous metals. It can be topcoated with most water and solvent-based Dulux enamels.

Application Description

Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from rust, oil, grease, dirt, and debris. Remove any loose or flaking material. Application Method: Stir thoroughly before use. Apply with a brush, roller, or spray. Coats: Typically, one coat is sufficient, but a second coat may be applied for improved protection. Drying Time: Touch dry in 1-2 hours; recoatable after 4-6 hours, depending on environmental conditions. Coverage: Approximately 10-12 square meters per liter, depending on the surface porosity and texture. Thinning: If necessary, dilute with water for ease of application.

Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Do not inhale spray mist. Use suitable respiratory protective equipment if necessary. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of paint and packaging responsibly, following local regulations.
